"After a long 9 year engagement, we finally decided to get married in Scotland. We had it all planned out, Tony would wear a kilt, along with many other guests. In the evening, I would wear a sash, pinned to my shoulder. Then came the dress problem. I wanted something simple yet classic, with a long train and a neckline that would allow a pin on my shoulder. After many outings to bridal shops, I had loads of ideas, but could not find my dream dress. Just a bit off that dress and a bit off this dress, which became very frustrating and soon dress hunting became a chore.
"I did a web search for dress makers and came across Karen. After several emails, we finally met. I explained what I wanted and she sketched out my dream dress right in front of my eyes! I was so happy and relieved that we were on the same wavelength! I really looked forwards to my fittings, ready to see my special dress being transformed from a nice linen number to the finished dress.
"Karen was great at being constructive and really wanted it to look good and feel good. I had complete trust in her judgment and ability, so along the way, we altered the design slightly. Looking back, my dream dress just kept getting better. We also had my Bridesmaid dresses made by Karen. They were perfect too, and we all had a great time at the fittings and each of us felt very special and relaxed in Karens hands.
"When the day of my final fitting came round, I was so excited. As ever, Karen didnt let me down and her work was proof of her love and commitment of what she does best. She gave me lots of tips of how to look after it and the best way to travel with it. I felt a million dollars on my Wedding Day. I think that every guest commented on how nice my dress was and my Husband was over the moon with my choice. What more could a girl want?"
