“When I started looking for a wedding dress, I didn’t really intend to have a dress made just for me, and certainly didn’t think I would be able to afford it. All I knew is that I was dreading spending a day dragging myself around the shops, in and out of dresses, invariably in sizes that would mean I would have no idea what they would actually look like.

However, with a February wedding, I knew I wanted something wintery and not in white, and this is where Karen helped me with the perfect suggestions and endless ideas—there was almost too much of a choice of amazing fabrics!

I had three appointments scheduled to wedding dress shops and dressmakers on the day I first visited Karen and never went to those other appointments... On each of the four visits it was very relaxing and it was great to get the one on one attention you want in the build up to your wedding day. It is also amazing to see it taking shape—even seeing your very own fabric when it is delivered.

To have a dress that fitted me perfectly was just the best feeling in the world, and I was absolutely delighted with the dress, the style, the colours and the feel of it which made the whole day extra special.

I can confidently say that my husband was over the moon, as was I.”
